





















ICAR-ISRI, Lucknow organized one-day Technology & Machinery Demonstration Mela under AICRP on Farm Implements & Machinery (FIM) scheme
ICAR-Indian Sugarcane Research Institute, Lucknow organized one-day Technology & Machinery Demonstration Mela under AICRP on Farm Implements & Machinery (FIM) on March 29, 2026. During the event, 300 farmers from different villages’ of Lucknow district, including both male and female participants, attended the program.
Dr. Dinesh Singh, Director, ISRI, Lucknow chaired the event and emphasized that the shared knowledge on agricultural and sugarcane machinery would contribute to reducing farming costs. He also extended his congratulations to the Agricultural Engineering Division for successfully organizing the program.
Dr. M. K. Singh, Head, Agricultural Engineering Division highlighted the prominent technologies developed by the division, following this, the Technology & Machinery Demonstration was held on the ISRI premises, showcasing various agricultural technologies developed by the Agricultural Engineering Division. The showcased technologies included advanced sugarcane machinery such as the deep furrow sugarcane cutter planter, raised bed sugarcane cutter planter-cum-seeder, and the sugarcane ratoon management device (Disc RMD). Additionally, small tools and equipment, including the sugarcane detrasher, intercrop sowing manual seed drill, and cane node cutter, were exhibited. Farmers also visited to Jaggery Unit to explore the jiggery making process and machinery.
Farmers expressed their appreciation, stating that these technologies would be beneficial for their farming practices and contribute to increased profitability. During the event scientists,Dr. Dilip Kumar, Dr. Himanshu S. Pandey, Dr. Shyam Nath, and Dr. Rajesh U. Modi, along with all the technical officers and staff of the Agricultural Engineering Division, were present.
